MozaiQ / We Love the Same

The Rusu+Borțun agency has joined the collective campaign “We Love the Same” pro bono, carried out by the MozaiQ Association, one of the main community organizations in Romania that supports LGBTQIA+ individuals.

“We were invited to be part of the collective campaign ‘We Love the Same,’ and of course, we said YES. The things that bring straight and gay couples together are far more numerous than the differences. Unfortunately, our perspective is what fuels discrimination. So, we played a little with the viewer’s perception and chose to let them draw their own conclusions. Together with colleagues and the MozaiQ team, we wrote several ambivalent love declarations and then asked people from the LGBTQIA+ community to share how they express love in their relationships. Surprise! The words are the same,” says Cătălin Rusu, CCO & CEO of Rusu+Borțun.

Through the ‘We Love the Same’ campaign, the MozaiQ Association aims to take a step further in its mission to increase acceptance and social support for civil partnerships between same-sex couples. This comes in the context of the European Court of Human Rights’ decision mandating the recognition of same-sex couples in Romania.

The ECHR ruling does not require the recognition of same-sex marriages but does obligate the Romanian state to provide a legal framework that ensures protection for same-sex couples.
