4 August 2022

The new Board of Directors of Art Directors Club Romania (ADC*RO) is made up of Radu Pilat (Managing Partner of Heist Industries), elected as the board president, Cătălin Rusu (Chief Creative Partner at Rusu+Borțun), and Laura Nedelschi (Creative Director at Sonica Works) as vice presidents.

A copywriter since 2000, Cătălin Rusu became a Brand Consultant in 2005, a Creative Director in 2006. Since 2008, Cătălin has been the Co-founder & CEO of Rusu+Bortun and Co-founder of Apollo111 Theater & Bar since 2016. He is a member of CEO CLUBS International, TechAngels Romania, and an Angel Investor in Tokinomo, Bittnet, TPS Engage, and iFactor. He has been a professional basketball player since 2021.

“I was invited to ADC in 2014, and I still remember the smile that appeared on my face when I read the email. I was a tutor at the ADC School for 5 years. Then came the pandemic, and now we have a reason to rebuild the actions and interactions of a guild that knows how to build communities for others and wants to learn how to manage its own community. From one creative to another, I think it’s a great opportunity to spend more time with those who do the same job as you, but you don’t get to work with them. As an organization, ADC has a huge potential to produce content on a social level, not just for the business or marcom area. I believe a lot in spontaneity; it’s something we must not lose, no matter how many plans we make. Together with Laura, Radu, and our colleagues from the country and Europe, we hope to plant that smile in the minds of many.” – Cătălin Rusu, Vice President ADC*RO

With a similar start to their careers as copywriters, the three members of ADC’s board want to revitalize relationships within the ADC community after a difficult period in which human interactions have suffered. They aim to initiate a meaningful conversation about Romania’s creative industry, creating a bridge between professionals with experience in the marcom ecosystem and young talents eager to bring fresh ideas for a valuable exchange with social impact.
