It brought hope and happiness to all Romanians right after the fall of the Communist regime—winning legendary matches and reaching the top 3 in the FIFA World Ranking (currently 45).To mark the milestone of 30 years since the ’94 World Cup, the Monument Administration decided to build a landmark that celebrates the most legendary goals scored by the Golden Generation—expressing the moment when the ball entered the net and all the supporters exploded in ecstasy. A monument that inspires the younger generations, proving that with determination and effort, they can achieve impossible things.The campaign touched the hearts of millions of Romanians, including the Romanian President, who decorated Hagi with the country’s highest distinction. Finally, fans have a permanent symbol to boost their enthusiasm before every single game.
