Of course, we all know that this year Romania celebrates 30 years since the revolution. This journey had a lot of ups and downs, and although we are still processing it, it’s important to take a step back and summarize the good, the bad, the ugly…and the funny. EuropaFm wanted to take this event and use it to communicate with its audience.
For most people, the living room represented a” legacy” pasted from the elders. They gathered around the TV, the radio, sit on the couch and enjoyed the news and music. But that’s not all that they did. Over the years trying to adapt to the modern times they inserted new elements of design.
We wanted to recreate the past and the present of our 30 years of freedom in just one experience and pictures, and that’s why the living room represents the core of our campaign. Gathering around with family and friends and listening to the news was and still is an important aspect of our lives.
This way we decided to tell the story of the 30 years of freedom in 30 days. A fast forward of our past, to understand more about our present.
Shaping a universe around the living room, we created an interactive webpage that presents through the design the most relevant news specific to that year.
The pieces of news that we choose, offer a big picture of the events that shaped us. We recreate an entertaining timeline that gathers a series of flash news from a political perspective to pop culture.
This way we aimed the nostalgic fans and at the same time generate interest among the younger generation that perceived the radio station as a cool and fun brand.
